Wholesaling Example

This is a continuation of the Flip2Freedom podcast with Sean Terry. In this episode, Sean interviews Robinson Aries and finds out how wholesaling took him from bankruptcy to making bank.

Sean: That’s awesome, dude. So since that point of bankruptcy, tripping across my webinar; how much money on all the deals, short sales, all the stuff do you think you’ve made?

Robinson: Well, by the end of November, I’m going to be in the range of $150,000.

Sean: $150,000. Wow. Now is that a game changer for you?

Robinson: Absolutely. Yeah, believe me. I mean, now the mainstream of income from HUD. That’s the mainstream. The processes, they eat their way to put the offers together. At that point, I’m exploring more markets. I’m exploring another five counties close to my area. I’m putting offers on Dade County, Brower County, Summit County, Martin County, Penbridge County; and now I’m exploring Jacksonville, I’m exploring Duval. I got a person that I’m training there, and hopefully we can start doing deals over there.

Sean: Why not? If you’re going to virtually wholesale properties, HUD is the easiest, because you can literally just go on the website and check out the properties. You can easily do comps in that area, in that market. If you have a realtor on the ground there, they can maybe take some extra pictures if you need it. But once you have buyers in that particular market, then it’s easy. All you’ve got to do is just send them over to the property, the realtor can actually let them in if they don’t have an MLS key. And get the property sold. So it’s having a title company and a realtor on the ground.

Robinson: You just have to repeat the same equation. You’ve got to repeat the same process. So, once you understand the concept, once you understand the process in your county, then you have just to repeat the same thing, the same process in other counties. Because everything is there; it’s online.

Sean: Yeah. It’s rinse and repeat. Well, I can tell you, man, you crushed it. You are an awesome example of someone who is ready, fire, aim. Someone who doesn’t think about it and talk about it. Somebody who just goes in there and gets it done. I don’t want to take up too much more of your time. But thank you so much for spending time with us, giving us a little tip on the home path website. That’s killer. And, I’m telling you, now that you know what you know, now that you’ve got your confidence and now that you’ve got money in your pocket, your 2013 is just going to be astonishing.
